Caroline heads the private client, succession and tax, team in the Oxford office of Penningtons Manches, within the Private Wealth Group. She specialises in all matters relating to wills and estate planning, succession, tax, trusts and mental capacity, working with the firm’s specialist teams where appropriate, and counts amongst her clients entrepreneurs, academics, business men and women, and families seeking to optimise estate planning opportunities, and those with irregular structures, complicated affairs or difficult personal circumstances.
Having left school early and following instructive years as a junior civil servant, then working in Israel and living in South Africa, Caroline returned to complete her education, embarking on her Law degree at the University of Oxford with her three girls then aged between 3 & 7. She is a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple and after a period as a non-practising barrister, working in another top regional law firm in Oxford, was admitted to the Roll as a solicitor in 2008. Whilst regularly identified as a Next Generation Partner in professional legal directories, Caroline is just as likely to be found talking politics, feminism, education, fashion or the arts when the situation or company lends itself.
