Bus drivers wear Christmas jumpers to spread some festive cheer

Oxfordshire Bus drivers are getting into the festive spirit by donning Christmas jumpers throughout December.

Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel and City Sightseeing Oxford bus drivers are going the extra mile this year. Bosses decided instead of only wearing festive jumpers on national Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 10 December to raise money for Save the Children drivers can wear them all month, if they wish. And there has been a big response with many drivers adding some festive glitz to services across the county.

Phil Southall, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel and City Sightseeing Oxford, said: “The feedback we got was our drivers would love to be able to wear Christmas jumpers as much as they want this month. There was a real desire to spread some joy in our community and it’s given everyone a lift.

“We hope it helps everyone get into the festive spirit in the run up to Christmas as we help keep Oxfordshire moving at a busy time of year. I’m proud of all my colleagues who have worked tremendously hard this year to provide safe and dependable bus services to our customers. It’s great to see so many of them getting involved and helping to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause. I hope our customers enjoy seeing them showing off their Christmas woollies.”
