The Oxfordshire Business Awards
Since its establishment in 1994, the Awards have recognised the achievements of numerous businesses in Oxfordshire, including recognition for business entrepreneurs, technology excellence, and innovation. The Awards are organised and supported by 15 of the county’s leading organisations to acknowledge, reward, and promote the excellence of businesses and organisations based in Oxfordshire.
The finalists have been announced for the 12 award categories of the Oxfordshire Business Awards, which include Purposeful Business, Marketing Excellence, New, Small and Large Business. All finalists will have a chance to win the Business of the Year Award.
OXBA Director Nigel Tipple expressed his satisfaction with the quality of entries received from across the county and emphasised that each of the finalists deserves their place on the shortlist. He further added that the growth and performance of local businesses demonstrate the attractiveness of Oxfordshire for conducting business.
Paul Lowe, Chairman of the Oxfordshire Business Awards, congratulated all of the shortlisted finalists and wished them the best of luck for the awards ceremony. The Awards have celebrated and acknowledged the entrepreneurs, businesses, and people who contribute to the vibrancy of Oxfordshire for 27 years, and the organisers are thrilled to have so many incredible businesses shortlisted for the awards ceremony. Aston & James is short-listed for the JACKfm Marketing Excellence Award.
The JACKfm Marketing Excellence Award
Who is this Award for?
The Oxfordshire Business Awards sponsor JACKfm celebrates the achievements of individuals, businesses, and agencies in Oxfordshire for their marketing campaigns, digital solutions, and social media strategies that have made a tangible impact on their business.
What are the judges looking for?
The Awards seek to recognise and reward clear planning and measured impact from marketing efforts that have led to significant outcomes, delivered between the 1st of October 2021 and the 30th of September 2022. Such as a website with excellent conversion rates, a new brand that has transformed customer perception of a business, a campaign that has boosted footfall, or a unique social media campaign that has gained a larger following.
The winning campaign could be one that exhibits the best return on investment (ROI), a groundbreaking idea, or an illustration of the most up-to-date best practices within a range of recommended categories.
Aston & James Marketing Excellence Award entry
In October 2021, Aston & James launched a mobile well-being pop-up as a tangible display of our commitment to helping employers support their staff’s well-being regardless of their work location. This initiative is aimed at promoting the long-term health of individuals in the workplace while fostering a positive, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
The campaign has been successful in keeping Aston & James visible, relevant, and aligned with the growing importance and consideration of well-being in the workplace. Moreover, it has enabled us to support our customers in re-evaluating their workspace or workplace, regardless of their location, and initiating positive conversations about change where needed. This includes encouraging individuals to incorporate more movement into their working day, thus promoting overall well-being.
Like any campaign we had goals to create visibility, ultimately helping to put us back out there proactive and support local businesses and people.
Supporting them to be…
Fit for Work
Fit for Purpose
Fit for Life
The A&J mobile well-being pop-up campaign has enabled us to actively listen to and respond to the needs of our customers. Our business has been able to provide relevant and effective solutions that meet the demands of multiple home workers, as well as re-think, refresh, and improve office environments to encourage employees to return to work and gain more from their workplace.
The campaign has resulted in an uplift in other areas of customer requirements, ultimately leading to a positive impact on our company’s return. Aston & James has received amazing feedback from our customers, indicating the success and value of our well-being pop-up campaign.
Darren Aston, MD said, “It’s amazing to be shortlisted alongside such fantastic local businesses, we are very proud of our Workplace Well-being campaign, raising awareness of the issues that help to create a happier, healthier and more productive environment. The work we do is very rewarding, but it is also very humbling to see our work acknowledged with a shortlisting for the OXBA’s.”
