Raise’24: The one Christmas Party you won’t want to miss
Take a moment to cast your mind back to last December (perhaps not easy in these summer months).
Remember wrapping up in warm coats and hats (hang on, that sounds like this summer!), closing the curtains at 5pm and lighting the fire, getting the tree and decorations up at home and doing the last-minute present dash around the shop or online?
In the midst of the ‘season to be jolly’ is one staple event, a fixture in the festive calendar, that you can’t escape or ignore: the Office Christmas Party!
Whilst all events look different depending on the business, these gatherings are essentially a time for staff to let their hair down, with good food and plenty of drink, and, of course, the compulsory Secret Santa.
Unless your organisation is especially well-organised and thinks creatively each year, there is a certain formula to the Office Christmas Party. Everyone views it differently: some people are full of Christmas cheer – excited and embrace it. For others it’s more of bah humbug – a sense of duty and dread.
Do you really have a good time? Apart from nursing a hangover the next day, what else do you get out of it? Do you really need another pair of novelty socks from a well-meaning colleague?
This Christmas, there is another way! Join us for a party with a difference, one where you are guaranteed to feel good during and after it, because you’ll give a gift that changes lives for the better, all while having a fabulously fun-packed festive celebration with your colleagues.
Raise’24 is our new festive fundraiser where we’re looking for 75 teams from Oxfordshire businesses to raise at least £2,000 per team to support 11 amazing local charities (see raise4charity.co.uk/charity-partners-1) in their work to achieve greater social impact for people in need.
You can do this by joining us on 13th December in the incredible surroundings of Keble College, Oxford for an unforgettable day, starting with breakfast in the Great Hall, followed by Christmas-themed entertainment including the Oxford Gospel Choir, before we ask teams to hit the phones and laptops to get donations in.
After all the hard work, the teams are invited to join us for a sumptuous three-course Christmas lunch followed by team awards and the all-important announcement of the grand total, wrapping up this uplifting event.
A collaborative fundraiser between different charities and businesses in Oxfordshire hasn’t happened before, and it’s set to be one full of joy and fun, and a feel-good celebration of what can be achieved by working together for good causes.
Imagine the fantastic Christmas present of £150,000 raised in total through this event, and the impact that gift will have for the charities, and the individuals, families and communities they are helping!
Take advantage of a quieter August and get your Christmas party sorted! You can enter as an individual, or create a team with people from one or multiple organisations. Circle the date of 13th December and book your place now for the one Christmas Party you won’t want to miss.
