B4 ONE: Workplace Wellbeing broadcast live from Blenheim Palace
A day of empowering webinars to boost engagement, motivation, performance & health in the workplace
OXFORDSHIRE, 2nd October, 2020: B4, Oxfordshire’s business collaboration network launched the first in a series of bi-monthly B4 ONE webinars live from the stunning Orangery at Blenheim Palace. The live production, supported by Studio 8 and Static Airwaves and broadcast on YouTube, saw live studio guests and remote presentations delivered across a range of Workplace Wellbeing topics.
B4’s CEO, Richard Rosser, presented alongside co-host Emma Gascoigne, commented, “This was a massive step change for B4 and huge thanks must go to both the B4 and Studio 8 / Static Airwaves teams for putting on such a great production. What a fabulous venue to launch B4 ONE, so massive thanks to Blenheim’s CEO Dominic Hare and Operations Director, Heather Carter and their teams for welcoming us so warmly. We certainly learned a lot from delivering a full day of webinars and we’re looking forward to the next B4 ONE which will be hosted by the Ashmolean Museum.”
Dominic added. “B4 have absolutely led the Oxfordshire business community from the front through the Pandemic – they have also inspired many through the way they have reinvented themselves into a digital community and BIO 2020 was a great example of this. B4 One takes this to another level, we were delighted to play hosts and share in this outstanding programme on Employee Wellbeing and look forward to future events.”
Professor Simonetta Manfredi, Associate Dean Research and Knowledge Exchange School of Business Oxford Brookes University, commented, “The Covid pandemic is an incredible challenge but also presents a unique opportunity to re-appraise the impact of the organisation of work on individuals’ well-being, that of local communities and the wider society. If we do not think outside the box now than when?”
Cheryle Britton, Founder YOLO Wellbeing, joined the broadcast from Lancashire and added, “The workplace has become so diverse and uncertain, and at YOLO Wellbeing we’re seeing first hand the impact this is having on the physical and mental health of employers and their workforce.”
Sridhar Iyengar, Head of Europe at cloud business software provider, Zoho, joined the broadcast from Holland and commented, “We welcomed the opportunity to get involved with such an important topic, especially now, when there are many changes and additional pressures which can impact everyone at work. Leaders today need to think about the holistic wellbeing of their employees both within and outside of work. We would like to urge all companies to analyse their tools, culture and leadership and make any improvements to ensure they are offering a more human approach which is more supportive and flexible. This is critical with a disparate workforce operating in a huge range of home set-ups and individual circumstances. It is only then that companies can be confident in offering true workplace wellbeing and can benefit from a happy and productive workforce, which, in turn, drives further business success during these difficult times.”
Frank Nigriello, Director of Corporate Affairs at Unipart also added, “There has never been a time when the health and safety of our colleagues at work has been more important or more difficult to protect. As we change the way we live and work, focusing on our mental wellbeing presents increasing challenges which many businesses have never before had to consider. It was great to see so many organisations from across Oxfordshire and beyond share good practice and give their time so generously in the most idyllic setting in our county, Blenheim Palace. Well done to everyone at B4 who made this such a success.”
