Join our growing Sustainability Ecosystem where Members of the B4 community discuss Sustainable Business with Matt Pumfrey, The Oxford Trust. This is a great opportunity for members to share sustainability challenges and successes in their businesses and help each other to become more aware of the sustainability solutions they can adopt in their organisations. This group is for those who’s role or expertise relates to sustainability and also for those that have an interest in sustainability.
About Matt Pumfrey – Managing Director of Eco Connect Group
Matt has had a lifelong passion for sustainability and has worked in the sector for over 30 years. A career that has seen him run his own businesses, set up and run an energy services businesses for a FTSE100 corporate to founding Eco Connect Group, a business bringing AI and sustainability together to accelerate action within corporate supply chains.
Matt’s expertise is in identifying, defining and translating sustainability goals for businesses and organisations and developing processes and operating models to enable these goals to be delivered. With ECG he and his team are harnessing AI to take action to scale with some of the world’s largest corporates. By providing curated knowledge and business tools the team are accelerating the deployment of projects that are delivering energy and carbon reduction outcomes needed.

The Oxford Trust is an independent charitable trust that was established in 1985 by Oxford entrepreneurs the late Sir Martin and Lady Audrey Wood, founders of Oxford Instruments. The Trust’s mission is to encourage the pursuit of science. To do this, The Oxford Trust runs programmes running across three key objectives:
Innovation – to support the innovation ecosystem in our region
Education – to inspire young people about science, technology, engineering and maths
Engagement – to engage public audiences with science as an important part of our culture
Our Innovation programmes are run by the trust, and our Education and Engagement programmes are run by our public-facing brand Science Oxford.

Raise’24 Demonstrates the Power of Collaboration and Team Effort
At Keble College on Friday 13th December, one hundred representatives of Oxfordshire’s business and charitable communities came together to celebrate months of incredible fundraising efforts and as they all stood at the threshold of the hugely impressive Great Hall, they had already raised well over £20,000. That total has now soared to £37,500 thanks to the generosity of well over 500 donors and the hard work of 33 fundraisers.
