B4 Member of the Month – Phil Lawrie, Silverstone Museum
Last month we launched a new Member of the Month Award where a Member is recognised for epitomising the true spirit of B4. Helen Fallon was a very deserving winner of a lovely bottle of Hundred Hills bubbly for being an all-round key part of the B4 community.
All of us like to ask a favour now and again but sometimes that favour isn’t as straightforward as sending an e-mail or liking a post on LinkedIn. Recently our CEO, Richard Rosser, was approached by a long-term friend who wanted to gain access to Silverstone Museum for his son, Matthew, who requires round the clock support. So ‘gaining access’ isn’t as simple as it sounds.
Chief Executive Phil Lawrie and his colleague Rob Jana couldn’t have been more responsive, ensuring that Matthew would be looked after appropriately.
Matthew’s father Robin commented. “Matthew had a brilliant time at Silverstone Museum. He loved seeing all the cars, the track and especially going on the simulators, and wants to go back again. Thank you to everyone at the museum, especially Phil and Rob, for going above and beyond to make this trip possible and so memorable for Matthew. We couldn’t be more thrilled.”
Phil added. “It really is a pleasure to make a modest but positive difference. The Museum prides itself on having great accessibility credentials and accommodating special needs of all varieties.”
B4’s CEO, Richard Rosser, said. “Thank you Phil, Rob and the rest of the team at Silverstone for being so supportive for Matthew. You have all gone above and beyond to make Matthew’s dreams come true and give him a memory that will last a lifetime.”
Phil will soon hopefully be enjoying a bottle of Signature Rosé 2018 from fellow Platinum Members, Hundred Hills.
