Boardman Hawkins & Osborne LLP join forces with Mayor of Abingdon for International Women’s Day Event
Specialist family law firm Boardman Hawkins & Osborne LLP are helping the Mayor of Abingdon, Gwyneth Lewis, put on an event for International Women’s Day on Friday 8th March at the town’s independently owned Abbey Cinema.
The Mayor is keen to look at better ways of tackling domestic abuse, and has brought together a panel of professionals involved in this area of work, to host a Q&A discussion, followed by a showing of the classic 1944 movie Gaslight, starring Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer. The event is free, but tickets are going quickly and can be booked using the following link or by contacting the cinema.

Ruth has been helping the Mayor in putting together the speakers and organising the event, and Irena is one of the speakers, representing domestic abuse charity Flag DV as well as her expertise in the law around domestic abuse. As well as Irena, other speakers include representatives from Reducing the Risk, Thames Valley Police, and local judge Her Honour Judge Joanna Vincent.
