Business Leaders Enjoy B4’s First Supper Club
Business leaders from Oxfordshire enjoyed B4’s first Supper Club recently. B4 holds events in fantastic venues across Oxfordshire and Shropshire, but we’ve got our very own venue which, with the imagination of our fabulous Events Manager, Tina, has been transformed into our very own private dining room. With furniture hired in from our good friends at BHK Rentals (www.bhkrentals.co.uk) and an immaculate eye for detail, it truly was a fantastic transformation and exceptional use of space as the B4 dining room came to life.
With jazz music playing in the background, guests arrived at our premises in Weston-on-the-Green which is fortunate to be blessed with parking for thirty plus cars. B4 Members who had seen our studio pre-makeover were amazed at the transformation. Alex Sayers of XIST2 commented. “Thanks for the invite, it was great. You’ve got a great, super lovely, versatile space!” Heather Carter of Blenheim Palace was similarly impressed. “Thank you for a lovely evening, it’s a great venue.”
Guests enjoyed a sumptuous three course meal by the Mangetout / Recharge ( www.mangetoutchef.co.uk ) team. Jean-Pierre Gillet, Darren Blanks, Sam and Paul were brilliant throughout the evening. The meal was accompanied by white, red and dessert wine provided by Grape Minds (www.grapemindsdrinkalike.co.uk)
Menu
Smoked salmon purple sprouting & dill tart, roasted beetroot purée accompanied by Marco Zanatta Vermentino di Sardegna.
Shredded confit of lamb, roast melanzane, baby gem and red pepper coulis accompanied by Vignerons Buxy Bourgogne Rouge.
Lemon posset with gingerbread crumbs, raspberries and candied lemon accompanied by Domaine des forges Coteaux.
Guest Introductions
Between courses we heard from the wonderful Milissa Davis of Tutu Delicious Chocolates (www.facebook.com/TutuDelicious) and Jacob Wilson of The Henley Distillery (www.thehenleydistillery.co.uk). They shared more about their fascinating businesses and gave all of those in attendance a small gift to savour…..most couldn’t wait!!
B4’s latest Platinum Member, John Blackwell (www.johnscottblackwell.co.uk) was on hand to take fantastic pictures of the evening. He certainly captured the vibrancy of the setting and atmosphere of a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Raise’24 Demonstrates the Power of Collaboration and Team Effort
At Keble College on Friday 13th December, one hundred representatives of Oxfordshire’s business and charitable communities came together to celebrate months of incredible fundraising efforts and as they all stood at the threshold of the hugely impressive Great Hall, they had already raised well over £20,000. That total has now soared to £37,500 thanks to the generosity of well over 500 donors and the hard work of 33 fundraisers.
