Celebrations at Carter Jonas’ Oxford Summer Party
More than 150 people attended Rhodes House in the heart of Oxford last month for Carter Jonas’ annual summer party. This year, the event was held in aid of regional charity, SeeSaw, which provides grief support for children and young people in Oxfordshire.
The evening was organised by Carter Jonas graduates based at the firm’s Mayfield House office. The charity raffle raised £640 on the night, which was matched pound for pound by Carter Jonas, and a total of £1,280 will go towards SeeSaw’s work to deliver grief support to families in the county as well as education, training and consultation about childhood bereavement.
On the night, guests enjoyed a range of lively lawn games, including croquet and bowls, whilst an array of refreshments were offered including a gin bar, supplied by The Gin Spot, canapes by Oxford Fine Dining as well as ice cream from Alfonso Gelateria, Summertown’s own artisan gelato van.
Jane Elliott on behalf of SeeSaw said: “It was a pleasure to attend the event and have an opportunity to speak about SeeSaw’s work supporting bereaved children in Oxfordshire. Huge thanks to Carter Jonas for their generous donation, and we are looking forward to working together in the future.”
Mark Charter, Partner, Carter Jonas Oxford, said: “It was a pleasure to once again welcome colleagues and friends from across our business community whilst also helping to raise money for SeeSaw – an extremely worthwhile cause making a vital difference in young lives.
“Carter Jonas, at both a national and regional level, has had an extremely positive 12 months. We have continued with an accelerated expansion programme in which we have focused investment in London, doubling the size of our UK headquarters, as well as enhancing our presence in our key regional centres including Oxfordshire. The party provided the perfect opportunity to thank members of the team and people from across our network for their continued commitment and support.”
Carter Jonas’ Oxford office is the firm’s largest regional centre outside of London. With teams based out of the hub office in Mayfield House, Oxford, the firm offers a wide range of expertise across the commercial, residential, rural, planning and development sectors together with a number of specialist services.
