FANTASTIC INAUGURAL B4 SHROPSHIRE PLATINUM QUARTERLY AT WESTON PARK
B4 Shropshire’s Victoria Charnley hosted the first Quarterly Breakfast at the amazing Weston Park on 28th November in the opulent splendour of Weston’s beautiful dining room.
We are so fortunate in the B4 community to have Blenheim Palace as our anchor venue for the B4 Oxfordshire Platinum Breakfasts, so for Weston to be our Shropshire venue is wonderful and clearly a hit with our guests.
The drive to Weston Park through the grounds was magical on a misty morning with the sun starting to burst through. With Christmas trees already taking pride of place in the beautiful hallway, guests made their way to the library for pre-breakfast networking before being formally welcomed by Weston’s Head of Marketing, Andrea Webster in the dining room where they enjoyed a delicious breakfast and further conversations.
“Weston Park has been a Platinum Member of the Shropshire B4 Business community for over 12 months. The growing network enables fellow businesses and professionals to meet, chat and talk about shared experiences in a welcoming and engaging forum. Victoria Charnley organises a wide range of events throughout the year featuring guest speakers, hot topics and great hospitality from a range of excellent venues in the county.” Commented Andrea. “We have been delighted to host a CEO and Leaders Lunch in the Victorian Orangery and are proud to be the chosen venue for the quarterly breakfasts. Weston is home to a wide range of experiences, it’s a great place to visit, dine, stay and do business.”

Our first Platinum Quarterly guest speaker was Felicity Wingrove from The Ultimate Advantage who gave a fascinating talk about how important it is for business leaders to take deliberate command of their language, and shared how the advice to ‘speak to others how you would wish to be spoken to’ is amongst the worst ever given! She also shared how to bring deliberate awareness to our own language preferences, how to spot those in others, and how to pivot to make sure our message lands exactly as we wish and need.
Felicity commented. “After over 15 years in business I was more than a little jaded with traditional networking, but being a Platinum Member of B4 has brought me into an entirely different room, filled with fellow business owners, leaders and CEOs, where I can enjoy really meaningful conversations and shared experiences. I really enjoyed the opportunity to speak at Weston which is such a wonderful venue.”
Anyone looking to become a more compelling communicator, step into their full potential as a leader, or learn to deliver the kind of speech which gets everyone talking for the right reasons, please connect with Felicity (‘Fliss’) on LinkedIn where you can access her language mastery Insights or via The Ultimate Advantage on LinkedIn where courses and workshops will be announced first. You can also visit The Ultimate Advantage website where you can read the latest news and views or contact Fliss at fliss@the-ultimate-advantage.com or 07967 751580.

Raise’24 Demonstrates the Power of Collaboration and Team Effort
At Keble College on Friday 13th December, one hundred representatives of Oxfordshire’s business and charitable communities came together to celebrate months of incredible fundraising efforts and as they all stood at the threshold of the hugely impressive Great Hall, they had already raised well over £20,000. That total has now soared to £37,500 thanks to the generosity of well over 500 donors and the hard work of 33 fundraisers.
