Final call to enter the Brand The Bus Competition
Good causes have one week left to enter Oxford Bus Company’s ‘Brand the Bus’ competition, to be in with a chance to design their own livery and have it emblazoned on a double decker.
The annual competition offers local good causes and charities the opportunity to have an Oxford Bus Company bus decked out in its branding. People can vote online for their favourite good cause. The deadline to enter is 23.59 on 7th November.
Public voting closes on Tuesday 30th November 2021 and the 10 entries who receive the most votes from the public will be shortlisted. A final winner will then be selected by a panel of judges. So far 18 good causes have entered and thousands of votes have been cast.
Phil Southall, Oxford Bus Company Managing Director, said: “Our Brand the Bus competition provides some much needed support for local good causes. This year’s competition is really taking shape and there is still time to enter. I’d encourage local good causes to submit their entries and gain some fantastic brand exposure, even if they have entered previously and not been successful.”
Last year’s Brand the Bus competition was won by children’s brain tumour charity Blue Skye Thinking with Abingdon Riding for the Disabled Association finishing a close second.
Brand the Bus launched in 2018 as an extension of the company’s policy of inviting colleagues to internally recommend organisations to support across the year, rather than have one chosen beneficiary.
Other previous winners include Girlguiding Oxfordshire and Home-Start Oxford.

The current entries are: Pancreatic Cancer Action, Be Free Young Carers, Helen & Douglas House Children’s Hospice, ARCh, The Archway Foundation, PACT, Children’s Air Ambulance, Yellow Submarine, Maggie’s, Kelly Jackson Memorial Fund, OASIS, Heart Heroes, Borneo Nature Foundation, My Life My Choice, Standing with Giants, Sue Ryder Palliative Care Hub South Oxfordshire, Medical Detection Dogs and Restore.
The winning organisation will be invited to work with the Oxford Bus Company to design a bus wrap featuring the colours, logo and messages of the good cause. Runners-up will receive support via digital on-board bus advertising. The winner will be announced in the new year.
