Fun and fundraising pass the winning post together at CRM Race Night
More than 100 excited horseracing fans packed into Yarnton Road Football Club for the CRM Charity Race Night on Friday 30 September. The atmosphere was full of competitive enjoyment and an amazing total was raised for CRM’s 2022 charity partner – Tiny Tickers.
CRM staff, clients, friends and the charity’s representatives joined together for a wonderful evening, betting on eight races which were all sponsored, including the last race where race-goers bid for horses. The winners of this race, Oxford Rising Stars Ice Hockey, generously donated their winnings back to the charity.
The popular raffle, with top prizes like four bottles of Aviator Gin donated by Summit Brands Ltd, also contributed to the overall total.
A whopping £4500 was raised for Tiny Tickers at the Race Night and Gaynor Bearder from the charity was there with her family to enjoy the evening and remind everyone how the funds raised are used in Tiny Tickers’ vital work to improve the early detection and care of babies with serious heart conditions. Gaynor was blown away by the enthusiastic fundraising and the amount raised.
She said: “What an amazing night! My family and I were given a warm welcome and had a wonderful time with CRM and their supportive clients. The amount raised at the Race Night, along with the other fabulous fundraising events throughout the year will mean that we can train more sonographers to spot heart defects in pregnancy scans and support more families with a diagnosis.”
Beccy Blake, CRM Accountant, who nominated Tiny Tickers to be the firm’s charity partner for 2022 after receiving support from the charity when her son’s heart condition was diagnosed, said: “I am so proud of my CRM team. The evening felt like a big friendly celebration with an amazing amount raised for Tiny Tickers. I’m so grateful to my colleagues, and our clients for their extraordinary generosity including the large donation from The Oxford Round Table.”
A huge thank you to our supporters and sponsors:

Mind the gap. How can women maximise their pensions?
As women get older, the difference widens between the value of their pension and that of men – in fact the gap stretches to almost 50% for the over 50s – so some women will retire with half the pension pot of men.
