Housebuilder Burrington Estates brings new homes expansion to Berkshire
Burrington Estates is set to launch its first development in the Thames Valley bringing 53 new homes to Binfield. This is the first project outside of the South West for the growing business and comes as part of its ambitious expansion plans into the Home Counties and central England.
Since its launch in 2013, Burrington Estates has grown into a thriving residential and commercial property business in the South West with a turnover of £70m last year. It is now aiming to build on its success with a pipeline of new developments in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. The expansion is led by David Jervis, recently appointed by Burrington Estates because of his previous experience of growing the Spitfire Bespoke Homes business in the Midlands.
David Jervis, Regional Director at Burrington Estates, said: “Our first development in Binfield marks the beginning of an exciting new phase of growth for Burrington Estates. The company has performed well across Devon and Cornwall but now we are expanding out of the South West into new areas where we know there is a strong potential market for our brand of high quality, well-designed new homes. And we are continuing to actively look for further new land opportunities across central England and the northern Home Counties to further grow our portfolio.”
The growth of Burrington Estates into the region is supported by a new £15.5m investment from BGF, the UK and Ireland’s most active investor, through which it aims to treble the turnover of the business within the next five years. Of this new funding, £13.5m will support the expansion of the new homes division, with the remaining £2m focusing on commercial property projects. Sites have already been secured at locations in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire that will generate £100m in turnover.
Burrington Estates has built its reputation on creating high quality homes and attractive, enduring communities with a strong sense of place. Its product is aimed at the mid-market but places strong emphasis on quality of design, build and specification, as well as ensuring excellent standards of customer service. It has completed more than 400 homes over the past five years and aims to reach 600 homes per annum by 2025.
The village style development located on Tilehurst Lane in Binfield will be launching in early 2022, alongside a show home that will showcase Burrington’s signature design and specification. Architecture is traditionally inspired using materials such as brick, flint and timber board, chosen to blend with the local style and complement the surrounding countryside. Enjoying a prime residential address to the East of the village, a range of house types will be available to suit the needs of different lifestyles, from modest three-bedroom units perfect for downsizers, to larger five bedroom dwellings ideal for families.
