Icons of British Fashion
Saturday 23rd March – Sunday 30th June 2024
Get ready for a special treat at Britain’s Greatest Palace as we prepare for our blockbuster exhibition in March 2024. It’s called “Icons of British Fashion,” and it features some of the finest British designers. This exhibition is a significant milestone for us, marking the largest event in Blenheim Palace’s 300-year history.
Put March 23, 2024, on your calendar because that’s when “Icons of British Fashion” will make its debut, showcasing a lineup of world-renowned designers. Each room along the visitor route pays homage to a British fashion icon. You’ll start in the Great Hall and as you travel through the Palace you will be treated to a visually stunning fashion exhibition. We’ve curated a collection of clothing, accessories, archival materials, drawings, photography, and patterns, seamlessly integrated with the priceless Blenheim collections to provide a fresh and captivating experience.
Beyond style, this exhibition explores sustainability, ethical fashion, and the future of the industry. Fashion isn’t just about clothing; it’s a powerful form of self-expression and influence. Some of the world’s most influential fashion icons are British, and their outfits carry deep cultural significance, inspiring countless people.
We are honoured to collaborate with British designers and celebrate the incredible creativity within the UK’s fashion industry. Blenheim Palace has a rich history in British fashion, having hosted fashion shows, photoshoots, and catwalks attended by high society and royalty. Our palace is the perfect backdrop to showcase the lasting impact of British fashion on the global stage over the years.
‘Behind the seams’, preparations are in full swing, and we can’t wait to share this exhibition with you. On March 23, 2024, the doors will open. Be sure to register your interest and sign up for our newsletter below. We’re looking forward to sharing this remarkable fashion journey with you!
