Christmas returns to Blenheim Palace from 16-19 November. This bustling Christmas event showcases 180 of the UK’s leading craft makers together with fabulous festive food and drink artisans. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Great Court, Living Crafts for Christmas celebrates the best of British contemporary design and craftsmanship and is an event packed with Yuletide charm.
You’ll be spoilt for choice as you browse unique, high quality art and craft gifts with original designs and meet our talented designer-makers. Pick up perfect presents for family and friends with everything from unusual stocking fillers to special personalised commissions and not forgetting festive foodie treats and seasonal drinks!
Enjoy your Christmas shopping in style and choose from studio glass, handmade soaps, fashions, photography, art, millinery, ceramics, textiles, toys, sculpture and so many more. Luxurious wreaths, garlands, cards, candles, decorations and handcrafted baubles make perfect gifts while The Jewellery Quarter is brimming with exquisite designs in gold and silver. You will be welcomed to the event by living crafts in action as designer-makers demonstrate their amazing skills in the East Courtyard.
Tempting traditional festive treats from handmade chocolates, waxed truckles, connoisseur preserves, oils, seasonal pies and charcuterie will be the highlight of ‘Tastes of Christmas’. Try glorious Christmas cakes, puddings and a fantastic range of seasonal tipples from mulling syrups, fruit liqueurs and spiced winter cordials to special wines and award-winning gins.
Get yourself in the festive mood and soak up the seasonal charm as the Great Court is transformed into a magical winter wonderland with twinkling Christmas trees in the colonnades and aromas of hot chocolate, mulled wine and roasting chestnuts filling the air. This seasonal atmosphere is made all the more special by live Christmas entertainment including carol singing, brass bands and street theatre which will be taking place throughout the day. There are plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy a huge range of winter warming fare.
This is a wonderful setting for a family day out with over 300 years of history to discover and plenty of festive cheer! Enjoy exploring the majestic formal gardens and crisp winter scenery with over 2,000 acres of Capability Brown designed parkland, while the train will be running to the Pleasure Gardens. Blenheim Palace will be dressed for the season and will also feature an exhibition by the American artist Jenny Holzer in the State Rooms. (A supplementary charge applies).
