Offsite construction company, Green Unit, launches its newest modular product range, the STUDIO, which is a high-spec, garden office and studio space.
Using their expertise in modern methods of manufacturing and offsite construction, Green Unit has developed the STUDIO which sits alongside its ARC modular building offering as a compact, efficient garden room for all-year-round use.
What is the STUDIO?
The STUDIO is a highly insulated garden office designed for people seeking a cosy and private workspace within their garden. The building is available in three sizes: 3mx4m; 3mx6m; and 3mx8m (external dimensions). The medium and large STUDIOs can also incorporate a 3sqm shed storage option.
Designing the STUDIO garden office
When developing the STUDIO it was really important to Green Unit to stay true to their core design and low carbon principles, so they’ve designed the STUDIO to provide a highly insulated, thermally efficient, and airtight room using sustainable materials and processes.
Whilst the STUDIO has mostly straight walls, its design has a subtle curve at the front window-end to give it a unique quality aesthetic, which is in keeping with Green Unit’s other modular building design.
Green Unit’s 10 years of offsite construction experience has taught the company that customers value minimal disruption at their site, so they construct the STUDIO entirely offsite and deliver a complete building which they install in the customer’s garden in one day with no messy building works.
What makes the STUDIO different to other garden offices?
It’s Green Unit’s market-leading specification, their factory-finished quality, and their entirely offsite construction process that makes the STUDIO one of the best quality garden rooms in the UK.
- Market-leading specification – Green Unit uses high quality, sustainable and efficient materials in the design and build of the STUDIO. Their 140mm levels of insulation are much greater than you’ll find in most other garden offices, with options for triple glazing, and FSC certified, sustainable timber and efficient LED lighting. The carefully chosen combination of materials creates a highly efficient space.
- No onsite construction, no mess – Green Unit delivers the STUDIO complete, so there are no messy building works needed in customers’ gardens. The Green Unit team carries out the delivery and installation as a turnkey solution, and installs the modular screw-pile foundations on the same day ahead of the STUDIO craned delivery. Everything they do is optimally designed for a smooth offsite-to-onsite transition.
- Factory-finished quality – because Green Unit builds the complete STUDIO offsite in a covered factory with efficient, quality control processes, they achieve much higher quality finishes than building in your garden premises. Offsite production also means that they aren’t impacted by bad weather!
Jonathan Finnerty, Managing Director at Green Unit, said:
“Maintaining Green Unit’s fundamental design principles of quality materials, sustainability, efficiency and offsite construction was incredibly important to me during the development phase of the STUDIO. We have a beautiful garden office which I’m looking forward to bringing to homes and gardens across the UK.”
