As part of its continued expansion, leading crate services provider phs Teacrate has appointed Nicole Bruce as its new business development manager.

Nicole, who is also trained chef, joins the team with decades of experience in the food manufacturing and food and drinks packaging industries and will be responsible for developing business in the food sector.

Her appointment is part of phs Teacrate’s expansion into the South of England, following the opening of its dedicated food crate wash site in Edmonton earlier this year, which increased its food crate washing service capacity across the UK by nearly 30%.

Luke Staton, Managing Director at phs Teacrate, said: “Nicole is uniquely placed to help us continue our expansion plans in the south. She has superb knowledge of the food and drink industry, both from a customer and a sales perspective, and understands the challenges the sector can face when it comes to transporting food items. We know she’ll be a valuable asset to our team and to our customers.”

Speaking about her appointment, Nicole said: “The new site in Edmonton opened up the opportunity for phs Teacrate to service 500 more customers every year. There is an increasing demand in the food industry for a reliable, good value crate service so we are now ideally positioned to deliver more crates, as well as a first-class washing service, in the south. This is an exciting, fast-moving time to be joining the team and I look forward to watching the business develop even further in the next 12 months.”

phs Teacrate is the market leader in crate rental services with sites across the UK, including Manchester, Edmonton, Durham, Livingston in Scotland and Curdworth in Birmingham. It provides crate rental and washing and packaging to different sectors including removals and storage, food processing and distribution and retail. It moves over nine million crates a year and has capacity to wash over 600,000 crates per week nationally.
