Cheltenham-based communications agency Target has appointed a new Business Development Director and added three new members to its award-winning PR team.
Rachel Meagher has been promoted to Business Development Director after 17 years with the company, most recently leading communications activity as Associate Director for many of its B2B clients including ADEY, Reliance Water Controls and HETAS. She is joined by three new hires including Account Manager, Laura Wilson, Account Executive, Frank Rimmer and PR & Communications Apprentice, Amy Townend.
Target’s Chief Executive, Sarah Bryars, says: “It’s been a challenging couple of years for every business, so to be adding to our team as well as promoting from within feels like a really positive step forward.
“Having started at Target as Senior Account Executive, it’s great to have seen Rachel progress in her career here and now be taking on a significant senior role that’s at the heart of driving our growth. We’re also excited to welcome Laura, Frank and Amy to the team and the new talent, insight and skills they bring with them.”
“I’m really excited about the challenge of my new role and helping lead Target’s new business activity,” says Rachel. “The insight and experience I’ve gained in my 20-year PR career will hopefully prove fruitful and help support the wider business objectives. We’re an agency with a raft of expertise across a range of sectors and I’m looking forward to being able to champion that.”
Account Manager, Laura Wilson, joins Target following a number of years working in both marketing and PR for B2B and consumer clients in London, while Account Executive, Frank Rimmer, is a recent Swansea University graduate where he achieved a First-Class Honours Degree in Business Management which included a year’s placement in a marketing role.
PR and Communications Apprentice, Amy Townend’s interest in PR was sparked during some virtual work experience with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is studying at Cirencester College alongside her role at Target.
This year, Target is also celebrating its 45th year in business. The purpose-led communications agency has a broad portfolio that covers everything from professional services to heating and plumbing, domestic cleaning products, ethical fashion brands and high street retailers.
