
Schneider Electric Names Chris Leong as Chief Sustainability Officer
Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy and automation digital solutions, has announced the appointment of Chris Leong as its new Chief Sustainability Officer. This strategic move underscores Schneider Electric’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in driving energy efficiency and decarbonisation.

In her new position, Chris Leong will lead the company’s sustainability strategy, steering commitments and initiatives in areas such as corporate citizenship, sustainability performance, institutional affairs, and environmental impact.
Leong has been with Schneider Electric since 2012, initially joining as Executive Vice President of Digital Customer Experience. She later served as Chief Marketing Officer, during which she became a key member of the company’s Executive Committee.
A Rich Career in Global Leadership
Before joining Schneider Electric, Leong held senior leadership positions in major global organisations. She led Nokia’s Greater China, Korea & Japan operations, following a series of global roles including Senior Vice President of Global Marketing. Her career began with WPP Group, where she held executive positions at Bates Asia, Ogilvy Europe, and Grey Global Group Asia. During her tenure, she collaborated with major global brands like P&G, Ford, HSBC, Heineken, and telecommunications companies.

Leong’s passion for sustainability is evident in her comments on her new role:
