The Orangery Restaurant is reopening
The newly refurbished Orangery Restaurant is reopening in October
In January 2023, we embarked on an innovative conservation project to reinstate the roof of The Orangery to its original slate composition. It is the first Grade 1 listed building to carry out a project of this kind. This process involved the removal of the existing glass ceiling, replacing it with a hand crafted timber and slate structure.
Over the course of the last three centuries, The Orangery has fulfilled a range of roles, from a greenhouse and conservatory to a theatre, an art gallery, office spaces, and most recently a restaurant.
In October 2023, our refurbished Orangery is set to open. Enjoy refreshments at our new and fresh bar space or make a reservation for a scrumptious Sunday lunch. Experience elegant dining with our Afternoon Tea, featuring authentically British, house-made scones, delightful sweet treats, and an array of dainty sandwiches.
