Chris Shelley is an IP, commercial and competition partner and Head of Life Sciences at Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP (PMC).
Described in the IAM 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners as having “unique expertise assisting universities and their spin-outs, especially in the life sciences space”, Chris is one of the most experienced intellectual property and commercial lawyers in the Thames Valley, having been a partner at Manches, now Penningtons Manches Cooper, in Oxford since 1992. He is a member of The Legal 500 “Hall of Fame”, is a Chambers UK leading expert and is rated in band 1 for intellectual property by both Chambers UK and The Legal 500.
Chris is a member of The Intellectual Property Lawyers Organisation, The Licensing Executives Society and The Law Society’s Competition Section.
A specialist in intellectual property law, advising on patents, copyright and database rights, trade marks and designs, in EU and UK competition law and in all aspects of commercial and contract law, Chris advises a wide range of clients on the protection and exploitation of intellectual property, in particular companies and institutions involved in the life sciences, publishing and engineering sectors.

Raise’24 Demonstrates the Power of Collaboration and Team Effort
