B4 Platinum Members and guests came together at Blenheim Palace for another memorable B4 Platinum Breakfast — combining thought-provoking presentations, new connections, familiar faces and a reminder of why getting the right people together in the right environment still matters.
There are few better ways to start a working day than arriving at Blenheim Palace on a beautiful summer morning. But, as ever, the surroundings were only part of the experience.
The latest B4 Platinum Breakfast brought together business leaders from across Oxfordshire for an informal morning of conversation, learning and relationship-building — without the pressure that can sometimes accompany more traditional networking events.
And judging by the comments shared by guests afterwards, that balance continues to be one of the things people value most about B4.
Claire Croft commented that B4 events “never feel like networking”, while Mark Zwinderman admitted that despite not really liking networking, he actively looks forward to B4 breakfasts and lunches, describing the B4 network as “genuinely different.”
Lisa Collins reflected on the importance of spending more time connecting with businesses closer to home in Oxfordshire and the value of real conversations and local relationships, while Sana Haseeb highlighted how meeting people in person consistently leads to both new connections and new knowledge.
Those observations perhaps capture the purpose of the morning better than we could ourselves. B4 Platinum isn’t about collecting business cards or seeing how many people you can speak to before breakfast. It’s about creating an environment where good conversations happen naturally, relationships develop over time and Members can learn from the experiences and perspectives of other business leaders.
Plenty to Talk About
Guests heard two fascinating and very different presentations during the morning from Georgie Spurling, Founder and CEO of Avra Wellness, and Dominic Hare, CEO of Blenheim Palace.
Rather than trying to squeeze their contributions into a few paragraphs here, we’ll be publishing full reviews of both Georgie’s presentation and Dominic’s Blenheim business update on the B4 website next week.

Who Will Lift the Colin Rosser Cup?
There was also a little friendly rivalry added to the morning as guests had the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the Colin Rosser Cup.
The trophy will be presented to the winning team at the inaugural Oxfordshire Golf Challenge at Frilford Heath Golf Club on Monday 28th September.
Inspired by the Ryder Cup, the competition will see Oxford City take on Oxfordshire County, with 40 business golfers on each side competing on Frilford Heath’s Championship Red Course. (B4 Business)

Our next B4 Platinum Breakfast takes place on Wednesday 4th November, when we’ll be joined by Niall Kingston, General Manager, and Jamie Purcell, Director of Sales, from Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
With Le Manoir undergoing a significant transformation, Niall and Jamie will take Members behind the scenes to discuss the work taking place and give us an insight into what guests can expect from Le Manoir next year.
It promises to be another fascinating morning with two people at the heart of one of Oxfordshire’s most celebrated destinations.
