After 25 years working as a property solicitor in the City of London, I decided to relocate to Oxford and, at the same time, open a legal Oxford office. I opened the office in March 2025 and, as I was not originally from Oxford and most of my existing clients were London based, I gave careful thought to how best to meet people locally. From the outset, I knew I wanted to work with people I could also get to know on a social level. I was recommended B4 by a leading Oxford surveyor, who told me there was very few people in Oxford that Richard Rosser did not know. On that recommendation, I attended one of B4’s breakfast events at Blenheim Palace, where I met an excellent group of people from across the Oxford business community. It was immediately clear that B4 offered something special, and I decided to join. Since then, I have enjoyed a wide range of events, from informal lunches to black-tie occasions, as well as formal discussion groups covering different aspects of the Oxford and the wider economic community. The people I have met through B4 have been leading business figures, and, just as importantly, genuinely friendly and supportive individuals who are keen to help one another.

I had a truly enriching experience working with B4 as part of the Events Team for the Oxfordshire Business Summit. Tina and Richard were incredibly supportive throughout, and I would honestly describe them as mentors rather than just managers. As a Team Leader at OBS2025, I experienced first-hand what it means to take initiative and lead with confidence, and B4 played a foundational role in helping me develop these skills. Although I was a student at the time, Tina and Richard never made me feel that my opinions didn’t matter.
