Create Some Christmas Magic with Annie Sloan: Oxfordshire Businesses Invited to Festive Fundraising Challenge

25th Oct 2026

Renowned paint expert Annie Sloan joins forces with Sobell House Hospice Charity and Oxford Wood Recycling for a unique corporate team-building experience, combining creativity, friendly competition and support for two important local causes.

Oxfordshire businesses are being invited to swap the traditional Christmas team-building activity for something a little more creative this November, as internationally renowned paint expert, entrepreneur and Sobell House Ambassador Annie Sloan joins forces with Sobell House Hospice Charity and Oxford Wood Recycling for a special festive fundraising challenge.

Taking place on Thursday 19 November 2026 at Oxford Wood Recycling in Abingdon, the event promises an entertaining and rewarding experience for colleagues looking to get creative, work together and make a difference in their local community.

The initiative follows the sell-out success of Annie’s recent Paint Everything workshop at the Sobell House Bicester Superstore and brings together three organisations with strong Oxfordshire connections and a shared commitment to supporting their community.

2 2026 09 07 at 15.52.44A Christmas Challenge with a Creative Twist

Under the expert guidance of Annie Sloan herself, teams of five will be challenged to create beautiful Christmas decorations using her world-famous Chalk Paint™.

Participants will decorate Christmas trees and baubles, learning techniques and picking up practical tips from Annie along the way.

But there’s a competitive element too!

Teams will compete to produce the most decorations and the best creations, adding a little friendly rivalry to an afternoon of festive creativity.

Whether your colleagues are experienced artists or have never picked up a paintbrush, the workshop is designed to be accessible, enjoyable and an opportunity to try something completely different.

And, importantly, the decorations created will help raise vital funds for Sobell House Hospice Charity and Oxford Wood Recycling.

Supporting Two Important Oxfordshire Causes

For Annie Sloan, whose internationally recognised paint business continues to manufacture in Oxford, the collaboration reflects her longstanding commitment to the local community.

As an Ambassador for Sobell House Hospice Charity, Annie has been a passionate supporter of the charity’s work and the difference it makes to patients and families across Oxfordshire.

Annie commented:

“I’m incredibly proud to be a local business that manufactures here in Oxford and to be working alongside other Oxford organisations to raise money for causes that mean so much to our community. As a Sobell House Ambassador, I’m always inspired by the support local people show for the hospice and the difference it makes to families across the county.”

Sobell House Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care, supporting patients and their loved ones through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Oxford Wood Recycling is a local social enterprise dedicated to giving waste wood a new purpose, reducing environmental impact and creating opportunities through meaningful employment and community activity.

Together, the organisations are demonstrating how collaboration between Oxfordshire businesses and charities can generate positive social and environmental impact.

A Different Kind of Corporate Christmas Experience

With businesses increasingly looking for meaningful ways to bring colleagues together, this festive workshop offers an alternative to the usual office Christmas celebrations.

It’s an opportunity to strengthen relationships, encourage teamwork, develop new skills and support local causes, all while having some fun.

For Oxfordshire employers, it’s also a chance to demonstrate their commitment to the community in a practical and memorable way.
