Over the years, B4 has grown considerably. More events, more opportunities, more introductions, more initiatives and, importantly, more ways for our members to get involved.

That is a good problem to have. But it also creates a challenge: how do we make sure everybody knows what is available to them?

That is one of the main reasons we have created B4 Notes, our new B4 community journal.

B4 Notes is designed first and foremost for our members. We want it to be an easy way to keep you informed about what is happening across B4, remind you of the opportunities and benefits available through your membership, introduce you to other members of the community and highlight some of the things coming up.

But it has another purpose too.

We are often asked by prospective members, “What exactly is B4?” There isn’t always a simple answer because B4 is many things to many different people. B4 Notes gives us something tangible that we can put in somebody’s hands and say: this is B4.

It provides a snapshot of the community, the opportunities to connect, our membership options, member privileges and the growing number of initiatives that now sit within the wider B4 community.

There is also something rather nice, in an increasingly digital world, about producing something physical.

So while B4 Notes will be available digitally, we are printing copies too. This first edition will shortly be mailed to all B4 members, and if you’re not currently a member but would like us to send you a copy, please let me know and we’ll happily pop one in the post.

Our intention is to publish B4 Notes two or three times a year. It won’t replace our website, emails, social media or regular conversations with members. Instead, we hope it becomes another useful way of keeping the community connected and helping everyone make more of B4.

Most importantly, this is the first edition.
